Section 02
Origin
01
Sol y Sazón
Racheal lived through ordinary rituals she loved: knives striking cutting boards, spices clinging to her apron, customers filling her mother's restaurant, and Arthur Waid dancing badly beside her in the kitchen. Sol y Sazón is more than her workplace. It anchors her identity before and after possession.
02
The Passenger From Mars
Arthur joined a pioneering mission to Mars. Beneath the planet's surface, his crew encountered a dormant Crexin presence. Nomitus entered Arthur and returned to Earth inside him. Arthur became gravely ill as the entity consumed his cells. When his body could no longer sustain it, Nomitus searched the people closest to him for a stronger host and found Racheal.
03
She Closed the Door
During one of Arthur and Racheal's final embraces, Nomitus attempted to transfer. Racheal saw fragments of the civilizations it had consumed and understood that forcing it out would only send it into somebody weaker. She pulled it completely inside herself and closed the path behind it. Nomitus attacked her consciousness, tried to seize her body, and tried to transfer again. Racheal held. Arthur died from the damage Nomitus had already caused, leaving her with the creature responsible sealed inside her.
04
The Living Prison
Racheal's conscious will maintains the containment seal. She and Nomitus can hear one another, argue, share involuntary sensations, and enter each other's memories. While he remains sealed inside her, he cannot reproduce, transfer, or infect anybody else. She could try to force him out, but she chooses to keep the door closed so nobody else must carry him.
Section 03
Powers
Spirit's magic runs through one rule: every spell opens the cell door. The prison holds at SEALED, narrows open at CHANNELED, and fails toward BREACH.
Parasitic Energy ManipulationRacheal channels crimson black spiritual energy into concentrated blasts, barriers, and restraints.More ↓Less ↑
CostChanneling gives Nomitus temporary access to her body and senses.
VisualBroad smoke like energy with a few thin molten red currents.
Telekinesis / Object PossessionRacheal extends fragments of Crexin presence into nearby objects, allowing her to lift, pull, stop, twist, or crush them.More ↓Less ↑
CostUnder stronger Nomitus influence, objects behave like unwilling limbs and return physical strain to the shared body.
WarpstepSpirit can infect two nearby shadows with the same spiritual imprint and move between them.More ↓Less ↑
CostShort range, and never unlimited consecutive use.
VisualOne brief red black reality stutter and a tearing seam.
Spirit EchoesNomitus can divide small portions of his presence into short lived echoes that imitate Racheal imperfectly, scout, distract, or attack.More ↓Less ↑
CostEvery echo stretches Nomitus beyond the prison and weakens Racheal's control.
Cellular OccupationRacheal can direct Crexin magic into living tissue, forcing damaged cells to repair or healthy cells to deteriorate.More ↓Less ↑
CostHealing gives Nomitus intimate access to another person's body and is one of the powers Racheal fears using most.
Mental IntrusionThrough sustained contact, Spirit can touch the surface of another mind, interrupt motor control, expose concealed memories, or temporarily possess a limb.More ↓Less ↑
CostRacheal refuses to dominate an innocent identity. Nomitus has no such restraint.
Force FieldsRacheal can occupy the boundary of an existing space with parasitic energy and harden it into a barrier.More ↓Less ↑
CostStrong impacts feed sensation directly back into her nervous system.
DreamwalkingWhile asleep, Racheal enters the shared psychic territory where Nomitus is imprisoned. She can witness his memories, interrogate him, reinforce the prison, or become trapped inside a memory designed to break her.More ↓Less ↑
Local Reality InfectionAt extreme risk, Racheal can briefly overwrite a small area with the rules of Nomitus's spiritual existence. Distance folds, shadows gain physical mass, and damaged matter can be rearranged.More ↓Less ↑
CostTemporary and local. It gives Nomitus access to nearly her entire body.
Nomitus Manifestation / Breach FormWhen containment is critically weakened, Nomitus partially reshapes the same body toward his preferred form. Racheal remains conscious inside it and fights for every movement.More ↓Less ↑
CostSpirit's greatest magical strength and the point at which Nomitus comes closest to escape.
Weaknesses and costs
▯Every spell gives Nomitus temporary territory in Racheal's body.
▯Sleep weakens Racheal's conscious defenses and gives Nomitus his best opportunity to manipulate her through dreams.
▯Concentrated bright light disrupts Crexin spiritual matter and interferes with her ability to channel it.
▯Silver destabilizes the Crexin bond and is especially painful when Nomitus is near the surface.
▯Exhaustion, illness, grief, and prolonged stress weaken Racheal's concentration.
▯Racheal and Nomitus share severe pain and can receive involuntary memories from one another.
▯If Racheal dies, the conscious seal begins to fail and Nomitus has a brief opportunity to enter the nearest vulnerable host.
▯A Crexin that fails to consume a host gradually begins to die.
Section 04
Struggles
Outside
Racheal
She cannot sacrifice herself carelessly, cannot use power without loosening the prison, and cannot remove Nomitus without endangering somebody else. Her journey is learning that compassion does not require opening the cell. She keeps running Sol y Sazón because family, food, and service remind her that the invader has not replaced the person who was there first.
Inside
Nomitus
He wants Racheal to surrender so he can reopen the pathway, infect new hosts, and complete the conquest that would prove his worth to Avenka. Yet forced proximity exposes the fear beneath his rage and gives him reasons to preserve people even when doing so no longer benefits the mission. His central question is whether freedom means anything if he uses it only to become what he was created to be.

Section 06
Connections
Arthur Waid
Boyfriend / deceased first host
Arthur unknowingly carried Nomitus from Mars to Earth. His death is the emotional wound at the centre of Racheal's story; she lives with the creature that killed him sealed inside her.
Tina Lewis
Mother / founder of Sol y Sazón
Tina represents home, continuity, and the life Racheal preserves. Racheal hides the full truth because Nomitus would immediately exploit Tina as leverage.
Maya Lavoso
Closest friend
Maya notices the changes in Racheal's sleep, temperament, and health and becomes unwilling to accept her excuses.
Nomitus
Prisoner, possessor, unwilling counterpart
Nomitus is not an external companion. Racheal and Nomitus share one body, one nervous system, one battlefield, and increasingly complicated influence over one another.
Queen Avenka
Crexin Queen / Nomitus's mother
Avenka views Racheal as both an insult to the royal bloodline and an extraordinarily valuable host. She wants Nomitus released and wants to understand how one human contained him.
Bouly
Nomitus's older brother
Bouly learned compassion through his own host and betrayed the Crexin mission. His history proves that Nomitus may be capable of change, although Racheal cannot risk Earth on that possibility alone.
